This is the famous Dover castle. Our bed and breakfast was part-way down the hill. We had quite a time exploring the castle grounds and learning about the secret hospital hidden in the cliffs.

Anne and Scott > They start 'em young in England, I guess. This boy has got to be around 10 years old and he's in the pub with the men, hooting and whistling and drinking.

Anne and Scott > They call pharmacists "chemists" and Scott and I thought to ourselves... "hey wait a minute.. WE are chemists" :)

Anne and Scott > I loved this. There is no fouling in an English garden.

Anne and Scott > My dad can relate to the sign maker. He, too, thinks fouling is foul.

Anne and Scott > My dad was far too big for the English shower. Scott and I left the bedroom while he showered... we were afraid any second he'd tumble out of it.

Anne and Scott > We got off the tube JUST when the guards were changing at Buckhingham palace. What timing!

Anne and Scott > Scott and I on the millennium bridge in London. Of course for my dad, it's all about the people in the shot... you can hardly tell we're ON a bridge :)
The millennium bridge links the Tate Modern Collection with St. Paul's Cathedral over the River Thames.

Anne and Scott > Once in a while they raise the tower bridge to let tall ships in. We were fortunate enough to be eating lunch, dangling our feet over the river at the right moment.
